Ignoring the obvious statement, you are probably already aware of all the warnings I have given to incoming students. In terms of new advice, I find opening a book doesn’t do any harm. I know you won’t do that because you are reading this paper instead, but it is nice to be aware of that option when you’re coming into your final semester of fourth year with a GPA of less than 1.
